'Sirok ti Mangga' Resort in Pangasinan Of Philippines Attracts More Tourists

The foothills of the Caraballo Mountains in Philippines, called the "Sirok ti Mangga" Resort located in Sitio Pila, Barangay Bachelor East now draws tourists wanting to escape from the punishing heat of the summer.

It is owned by the municipal government. This tourist spot is a 10-hectare mango plantation, hence the name "Sirok ti Manga" (under the mango tree) originated.

A swimming pool and a few air-conditioned cottages were put up by a private partner which it manages and rents to tourists. The other facilities include a zipline. Every rider of the zipline is charged a nominal fee. The zipline, a cable line of about 50 meters, provides the rider a breath-taking view of the town proper of Natividad from above, which is called "Sky Plaza."

Other facilities set to be built by the municipal gopvernment in the Sirok ti Manga Resort are a social hall which can accommodate seminars by government agencies, a few cottages more and a chapel.
