The most active volcano in the Philippines, Mayon Volcano is shaped symmetrically cone and is considered to be the world's most perfectly formed volcano . Mt. Mayon is one of the most visited tourist destination because of its enchanting scenic view. The volcano stands majestically at 7,946 ft, and offers some of the best views of the Albay gulf and the other nearby towns.
In a scenic view, you can see the Cagsawa Ruins in the foreground of the Mayon. In the Spanish Era, a Grand church was buried in the worst volcanic eruption in 1814 and the belfry can be still seen intact above the earth. The imposing facade of Our Lady of the Gate Parish Church, the second most photographed man-made structure in Bicol after the Cagsawa Ruins is another must see destination.
